Langstrothdale Chase is the site of an ancient hunting forest which lies between the head of Raydale and the head of Littondale, spanning the valley of Langstrothdale itself.
Today much of the area is bleak moorland, with the village of Buckden having been a focal point for huntsmen in days gone by
