Some more views of Otley and the Surrounding Area
Famous as the birthplace of Thomas Chippendale (the English cabinet maker), Otley is a pleasant town situated just downstream of Ilkley in lower Wharfedale at the southern edge of the Yorkshire Dales.
Although lying within easy reach of the cities of Leeds and Bradford in nearby Bronte Country, Otley is conveniently located for touring southern end of the Yorkshire Dales, with the relatively little known Washburn Valley lying just to the north.
The magnificent stately home of Harewood House is also close nearby, as is the prominent landmark of Almscliffe Crag.
