Beggar's Stile

Beggar's Stile, Moughton

At a rocky gully which cuts in the the bottom end of Thieves' Moss is the Beggar's Stile, where the path from Sulber Gate descends in to Crummackdale.

The origin of the name is unknown, but there are several local theories.
